Over the years, a person may sometimes ignore little details since they become a part of a daily routine. So did I, until my children taught me how to see and notice anew the little things around us. In my works, I try to convey the details, to draw attention of a viewer to them.
Sometimes I prefer to leave my work without a description to allow people to build their own associations with it.
I am passionate about using my camera because it captures moments of life, such as growing children or man’s connection with nature. The last years, I was hugely inspired by Renaissance or Baroque paintings which brought me to a series of self-portraits. One of the most important ideas here is the connection with the past.
It brings a special value to the pictures and attracts new viewers.
The techniques and tools in each of my projects or series often change, but my handwriting remains the same. I do both simple portraits and hybrid portraits, and collages.
